What We Believe

  1. We believe that the only True God is Jehovah (Exodus 3.15; Exodus 15.3)

  2. We believe that the True God Jehovah exists in 3 Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Zechariah 12.10 with John 19.37)

  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is now and always has been the Eternal God. (John 1.1)

  4. We believe that Jesus became human (John 1.14), that He was born of a Virgin (Matthew 1.18-23), died as the substitute for all who believe (received God’s wrath in our place, Romans 5.8-9), and in His resurrection was exalted above every power and authority. (Ephesians 1.20-23)

  5. We believe that men, at their physical birth, are born dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2.1), and that men are eternally condemned unless they believe in Christ. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for all mankind: both Old and New Testament.  (Ephesians 2.2-10)

  6. We believe that Jesus will remove His Church from the earth prior to the Day of His wrath (I Thessalonians 1.5-11)

  7. We believe that Jesus will physically return to earth and establish His Kingdom upon earth for 1000 years. (Psalm 2)

  8. We believe in the perseverance of the saints (Hebrews 7.25)

  9. We believe in the eternal condemnation of the lost in Hell (John 3.36, Revelation 14.11)

  10. We believe in the inspiration, authority, and inerrancy of the Bible (II Timothy 3.16; 2 Peter 1.18-21)

  11. We believe that the Church is Christ’s body (Ephesians 1.15-23), that it exists as a Heavenly unity (Ephesians 4.1-6) and on earth in local assemblies (Ephesians 4.7-16). Believers in Jesus Christ should be baptized upon their profession of faith and united with, and participants it, a local Church.

  12. We believe that marriage is between only one man and one woman, that homosexuality is against God’s created order. All marriages in the Bible are between men and women, and homosexuality is consistently condemned, Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) serving as an enduring example of God’s hatred for it.

  13. We believe that the home and the local Church should be under the leadership of mature males. (I Timothy 2.9-15)

Ken Largent

Pastor

Pastor Ken Largent has led the church for over 30 years. His expositional style of teaching and preaching follows Isaiah 8:20.

Dan Williams

Youth Pastor

Dan has been the youth pastor at the church for over 25 years. He and his wife Rhonda love working with the young people.

Bradley Nelson

Youth Leader

Bradley and his wife Esther grew up in youth group under the Williams' leadership. They now enjoy assisting them in serving the teens.

What to Expect

Or, “Here’s how to know what we’re really like”

  • We use the King James Bible, but we are not King James only
  • We use the Majesty Music Rejoice Hymnal
  • Our music is traditional and conservative in style
  • There is no dress code. We do ask the ministry leaders to wear neckties, and the ladies in the ministry to wear knee length skirts or dresses.  We don’t preach against women wearing pants. 
  • The preaching is expositional in presentation.  Isaiah 8.20
